We’re Proud of What People are Saying!

I have taken my daughter to Dr Boyd since she was 3 years old, she is now 20 years and Dr Boyd is the only dentist she wants to go to. Dr Boyd is absolutely the BEST of the best! We highly recommend him and also his staff, from the registration to the assistants, they are the best! They are kind, gentle, caring and compassionate! I have never heard a child cry while at any of her visits, children actually like going to the dentist, imagine that! Great service! Great people!

I used to go to Dr Boyd when I was a kid. He was the absolute best! I unfortunately moved away when I was about 12. I’m 19 now and would give anything to go back to him. You can’t go wrong here. He is always making sure you’re comfortable and enjoying the dentist…

Our Pediatric Dental Office

Dr. Lee Boyd Pediatric Dentistry is located in Allen, Kentucky. Our goal is to deliver the best possible dental and orthodontic care for infants, children, teens and anyone with special healthcare needs. Our team will strive to make sure that your child has a positive experience while maintaining the highest standard of safety. There are some guidelines that help us keep the environment safe for us all.

During appointments we ask that other siblings remain in the waiting area under adult supervision.

Cell phones can be a tremendous distraction so we politely ask that you keep your cell phones off or in airplane mode. If you must take a call, we ask that you answer the phone outside the treatment and exam areas.

Pictures and camera phones are a great way to document your child’s first dental experience. However, there are times when this activity may not be appropriate. Please be courteous to other patients, parents and team members, and ask before taking pictures or filming in our office.

To help keep our office neat and clean for us all, no food or drinks are allowed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation !!

For after hours emergencies,

please call 606-874-2800 and listen to our message.

Scheduling Appointments

Our office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available.  Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort.  School aged children for routine visits can be scheduled throughout the day.  Sedation appointments are scheduled  only in the morning.  Our afternoon appointments are for routine visits and older children requiring minor

dental treatment.

We require a 48 hour cancellation notice.

Policies & Finances

Payment for professional services is due at the time
dental treatment is provided.  This includes deductibles and co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards. We also take
Care Credit.

For patients that require dental treatment, we compile a treatment plan. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement.

Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which fits your timetable and budget, and gives your child

the best possible care.

Dr. Boyd and his team are dedicated to great dental experiences.

We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child in by his or her first birthday.

During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team, given an office tour and discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.

Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your baby’s head will rest on Dr. Lee’s knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctor’s chair.

We request that you complete our First Visit Forms prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’ scheduled visit on time.

Your initial exam will last approximately 30 minutes.
Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.

Please print and fill out our

New Patient Forms.

Bring them with you at first appointment,

Thank You!

Beautiful straight smiles for Kids & Teens

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends every child have an orthodontic evaluation by the age of 7.

Early detection and treatment gives your child the edge - a much better chance for natural and normal development. One advantage of having Dr. Boyd as your child’s dental home is that he monitors your child’s growth & development on a regular basis.  Our parents truly appreciate having orthodontic treatment done in our office.  This allows them to coordinate cleaning and check-up appointments with ortho appointments. By working with the natural growth instead of against it, Dr. Boyd prevents problems from becoming worse, while giving your children a lifetime of beautifully healthy smiles!

Studies have shown that people who have straight teeth are more likely to smile more. This leads to a greater self esteem which may lead to a more fulfilling life.

Establishing Your Child’s Dental Home

Comprehensive oral health care including acute care and preventive services.

Individualized preventive dental health program based upon a caries-risk assessment.

Anticipatory guidance regarding growth and development.

Plan for acute dental trauma (emergencies).

Referrals to dental specialists when care cannot directly be provided within the dental home.

What is a Pediatric Dentist?

A Pediatric Dentist like, Dr. Boyd, is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education. We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their “cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our office provides all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?

When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Boyd has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality

patient care.
